Tom McNeela has gained an extensive knowledge of the financial services industry from a variety of angles during his 25-year career. As an operations back-office leader, his teams facilitated the issuance of billions of dollars of annuity policies annually. Tom spent five years as a life insurance and annuity wholesaler, consulting directly with advisors to find compelling solutions to address their clients’ objectives and helping to grow those advisors’ businesses. Tom also led a national sales education team for a Fortune 100 company, where he focused on onboarding training and the continuous development of both wholesalers and advisors.
In his role as Chief RIA Solutions Officer, Tom is responsible for designing and implementing an onboarding process for new firms, with the goal of streamlining the flow of new business and making it easy for advisors to meet client needs by leveraging the products and technology RetireOne has to offer. He is also responsible for training our team on products, processes and technology to increase their effectiveness and the value they bring to our partnering firms. Tom’s extensive operational experience, his sales education background and his strong understanding of the advisors’ perspective serve him well in this role.
Tom attended the University of Kansas, where he majored in business communications. He earned a Financial Services Certified Professional* (FSCP*) designation from The American College and holds FINRA Series 6, 63 and Life and Health licenses. He lives in the Chicago area, and when he’s not working, he enjoys staying active in sports with his wife and two children, including tennis, platform tennis, skiing and golf.
